How well do you take criticism? Do you deflect it or take it personally? Does it usually inspire you to change? Are you more critical of yourself or others?
I love constructive criticism. Anything that helps me improve is wonderful. I can be sensitive at times, though; and I confess that I used to get really anxious and upset if anyone told me they flat-out don't like what I'd written. I still get sad and probably dwell on it longer than I should these days, but I don't freak out quite so much. ^^;
I'm pretty hard on myself, but I think I also praise myself just enough. I think it's important for a writer to keep a balanced feeling about their work so that there's no being overconfident about something that may need improvement, nor any disparagement about something that's perfectly lovely as it is.
